Prior to becoming a psychotherapist,
I worked in mentoring and leadership roles within the community development sector. Throughout this journey, I developed a specific interest in mental health.
I wholeheartedly believe in therapeutic healing. Emotional shifts can be experienced with safety, collaboration & empathy, focusing on both the mind and body.
I am interested in all human experience; trauma & grief, depression & anxiety, stress management, relational, interpersonal & identity issues & chronic illness/ persistent pain.
I'm also passionate about social justice, strong coffee and (attempting) yoga.
Life can unravel in unexpected ways. We might feel disconnected from ourselves or others. In counselling you may want to explore your emotions, thoughts, behaviours or meaning in the world. You may seek to process a loss, trauma or, manage a chronic illness.
I completed the Master’s of Counselling and Psychotherapy at The Cairnmillar Institute, Melbourne. You can expect a professional, person-centred & evidence-based therapeutic approach to mental health support for youth, adults and couples.
I am a registered member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
